2 Weeks Left to Japan!

Yay! Only 2 weeks left until we get to leave for our trip and now that we've planned out our itinerary a little bit, I can let you guys know the places we plan on visiting :)

For this trip, we will be heading out to Osaka. Neither Calvin nor I have been there before, but from the research I've done, it seems like there's a lot to do and see like Tokyo. From Osaka, we plan on doing a few side trips, including one overnight stay in Kyoto. Calvin was very intent on spending a night in a ryokan; however, they can be quite expensive, and with the deals we've seen for hotels, we decided (again) against staying at one. Besides Kyoto, our other day trips include Kobe and Koyasan.

I am really excited to stay in Osaka though for the shopping and food! There are definitely some popular places that we've been to before in Tokyo that we'll want to visit in Osaka like Mister Donut (Calvin plans on stuffing his face), Daiso, Bic Camera, and Nitori. Of course, there are some places I haven't been to before that I'm looking forward to like Choco Cro and Etudé House (they have 2 locations in Osaka!!). I am really hoping that these Etudé House locations are going to have their full line (if not the majority) of their products. I don't believe I mentioned this before, but on our last trip to Japan in 2011, I had actually found the Tokyo store for banila co.; however when I got there, it looked like they were closing it down and everything was on "clearance." So basically, most of the stuff was gone and all I got was a travel kit with sample sizes of some stuff and the BB cream I was looking for. *sigh* I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for Etudé House in Osaka.

The items I bought from banila co. in Tokyo back in 2011.

Anyway, as a side project, I decided to create an ePub file (basically an eBook) of our trip itinerary for us to view on our iPhones and iPad. I am using Pages to create it and it's fairly simple, you just need to keep some paragraph styles in mind. Hopefully I will have time to finish it soon and maybe blog with another update as well ;) Ja mata! (I think it means "until next time" in Japanese :S LOL)
